Job description
Responsibilities
  • Optimize revenue and RGI (Revenue Generation Index) compared to competition.
  • Close interaction with senior hotel management.
  • Help determine budget and strategy and implement it.
  • Define pricing strategy and optimize inventory.
  • Provide a global perspective on Revenue Management to the whole hotel.
  • Organize and monitor all affairs related to the position.
  • Maintain proper grooming at all times.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions.
  • Cooperate fully and respect the team and other departments.
  • Know daily activities and have product knowledge of all hotel facilities.
  • Support the budgetary process and yearly strategy.
  • Devise the yearly budget per segment per day.
  • Determine sales strategy.
  • Determine yearly rate tables for all market segments.
  • Develop and steer the hotel’s Revenue strategy.
  • Prepare forecasts and chair the Revenue meeting.
  • Determine and implement pricing strategies and circulate recommendations.
  • Maintain relationships with internet partners.
  • Update rates and restrictions throughout all distribution channels.
  • Collect, integrate, and study market and competition data daily.
  • Produce benchmarking GDS performance and other reports.
  • Maintain work systems and tools.
  • Maintain the revenue reporting system and analyze reservation patterns.
  • Stay up to date on software or data management trends.
  • Be familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions; cross‑sell when required.
  • Know strengths and weaknesses of competing hotel and restaurant products; provide weekly updates after visiting competition hotels.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence by monitoring business sources and segments.
  • Penetrate and saturate prospective and existing customer organizations for effective multi‑department selling.
  • Assist the DOSM in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals.
  • Communicate the hotel image positively to existing and potential customers at all times.
  • Maximize revenues and/or cost controls through proactive actions rather than reactive management.
  • Report on industry and local market trends.
  • Attend scheduled revenue meetings.
  • Tend to punctuality and proper grooming.
  • Comply with all hotel rules and regulations and disciplinary procedures.
  • Maintain monthly vacation and public holiday balances for staff.
  • Create an environment promoting employee morale and pride.
  • Promote a helpful and professional image to customers and assist colleagues promptly.
  • Anticipate customer needs to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
  • Assist in other hotel areas as needed.
  • Be familiar with all relevant company documentation and operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and reasonable requests.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Hotel Revenue Management or related departments (e.g., reservations, operations) is beneficial.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Hotel Management, Tourism, or Economic Studies.
  • Highly computer literate; advanced skills in Excel/PowerBI or other data analysis and billing tools.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets.
