Reporting to the Director of Renewals EMEA – The Maintenance/Renewal Account Executive works closely with Contracts Administration, Account Directors – Sales, and other peers in the account team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, drive and manage the renewal process for assigned customers in collaboration with the broader account team.
- Actively engage with key decision-makers within customer organisations to identify customer roadblocks and ensure on-time commitments.
- Maintain and report an accurate 90-day rolling forecast of renewals.
- Identify customer goals and negotiate/execute renewal contracts that align with those goals.
- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities to maximise customer growth while protecting and enhancing the relationship.
- Communicate risk clearly and lead resolution strategies, escalating when appropriate.
- Proactively identify areas of process improvement and efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required
- University degree (or equivalent work experience)
- 2-4 years of experience in Renewals, Customer Service or Sales in a fast‑paced environment (preferably technology)
- Strong work ethic, ability to work collaboratively.
- Proactive approach, strong attention to organisation, time management and detail-oriented capabilities.
- Skills in discovery, negotiation and closing that allow for value‑based contract negotiations at all levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication in English.
- Team‑player with positive attitude and proven ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the company.
- Experience using CRM (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.

- The role emphasises renewals for maintenance contracts (i.e., ongoing service/licence renewals) rather than purely new sales.
- There's an expectation of proactive sales mindset (upsell/cross‑sell) in addition to renewal retention.
