Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join our clients multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating cancer patients using advanced radiation therapy techniques with a strong commitment to patient care and safety. Proficiency in Arabic or French is essential for effective communication with patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Treatment Planning

    • Evaluate and diagnose cancer patients to determine the most appropriate radiation therapy treatment.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans using advanced imaging modalities such as CT MRI and PET scans.
    • Collaborate with medical physicists dosimetrists and radiation therapists to ensure precise delivery of radiation therapy.
    • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress.
  • Clinical Expertise

    • Administer and oversee various radiation therapy techniques including IMRT VMAT stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and brachytherapy.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection standards to safeguard patients and staff.
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiation oncology and implement evidencebased practices in patient care.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration

    • Work closely with oncologists surgeons pathologists and other specialists to provide comprehensive cancer care.
    • Participate in tumor board meetings to discuss complex cases and develop optimal treatment strategies.
  • Patient Communication and Support

    • Explain treatment options procedures and potential side effects to patients and their families in a clear and compassionate manner.
    • Provide emotional support to patients during their cancer treatment journey.
  • Administrative and Educational Duties

    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records including treatment plans progress notes and followup care.
    • Participate in training and mentoring programs for medical staff and students.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
    • Education:

      • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Radiation Oncology.
      • Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology.
    • Experience:

      • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Radiation Oncologist preferably in a multidisciplinary cancer center.
    • Skills:

      • Proficiency in radiation therapy techniques (IMRT VMAT SRS brachytherapy etc..
      • Strong knowledge of radiobiology dosimetry and radiation safety principles.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in Arabic or French.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
    • Licensure:

      • Valid medical license to practice
