Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance construction and engineering projects you will play a crucial role in managing costs contracts and commercial aspects of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Administrate and implement change control including the administration of Works Order Contract Works and Purchase Orders
  • Support the Project Manager and Division Director in preparing and submitting SubContractor Payment Certificates Internal & External Forecasting and Accruals
  • Maintain a database of accredited subcontractors and advise on procurement strategy
  • Manage the pursuit of Green Claim income liaising with specialist legal representatives and loss adjusters
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies related to Commercial processes
  • Prepare detailed reports on project costs budgets and financial forecasts
  • Support the Commercial Manager in achieving commercially driven objectives and monitoring Key Performance Indicators
  • Promote continual improvement within the organization and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
  • Advise colleagues from other departments on Commercial issues relevant to their work
  • Ensure effective control and evaluation of key suppliers and subcontractors
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project progress and costs
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management or a related field
  • Professional certification such as MRICS or MCInstCES is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying preferably in infrastructure maintenance projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract management procurement options and risk management processes
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and familiarity with specialized quantity surveying software
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in bidding processes and proposal preparation
  • Working experience in construction estimation software (CCS Candy)
  • Knowledge of UAE construction industry standards practices and local building codes in Abu Dhabi
  • PRINCE2 Accreditation is advantageous
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Conduct site visits and work flexibly when required
