Job summary

A leading power and energy firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of OHTL and cable projects. You will coordinate between engineering, construction, and procurement teams, track project milestones, and assist in quality compliance. Candidates should have 5-7 years of experience in transmission projects and be familiar with 132 kV OHTL standards. This role offers a chance to work closely with utility clients and contribute to impactful energy projects.

Qualifications

Description

Support the Project Manager in planning and execution of OHTL & cable projects.

Coordinate between engineering, construction, procurement, and site teams.

Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.

Assist in reviewing technical submittals, drawings, and method statements.

Monitor compliance with quality and HSE requirements.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Support risk identification, mitigation plans, and delay analysis.

Assist in coordination with client, consultant, and authorities.

Support testing, commissioning, and project close‑out activities.

Basic understanding of OHTL works: foundations, tower erection, stringing interfaces.

Basic understanding of 132 kV cable works: trenching, duct banks, joint bays, cable laying.

Ability to review IFC drawings, route maps, alignment sheets, and SLDs.

Familiarity with TAQA / TRANSCO standards and specifications.

Knowledge of project documentation: method statements, ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs.

Understanding of testing & commissioning activities for OHTL and cable projects.

Good command of MS Excel, Word, and reporting tools.

Qualifications

5‑7 years experience in transmission projects (OHTL and underground cable).

Exposure to 132 kV OHTL and cable EPC projects under utility clients (TAQA / TRANSCO / ADDC).

Experience working within a Project Management / Project Controls team.

Coordination experience with construction, engineering, planning, and procurement teams.

Familiarity with client/consultant interface and project reporting.

Knowledge of HSE systems and quality management processes.
