Job summary

A leading procurement organization in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in procurement within the aluminium and construction sectors and possess strong negotiation and organizational skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of procurement experience in the aluminium & glass or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aluminium systems and glass specifications.
  • UAE Driving License is an advantage.

Job description
Purchasing & Sourcing
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable local and international suppliers for aluminium profiles, glass, accessories, hardware, and tools.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, POs, and negotiate terms including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Source alternative suppliers/materials to reduce costs and avoid project delays.
Vendor Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.
  • Ensure timely deliveries and follow up on pending or delayed orders.
Inventory & Cost Control
  • Coordinate with the store and project team to track material usage and ensure optimum stock levels.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and assist in cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery notes.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and UAE regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all procurement activities for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with finance for timely supplier payments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience in the aluminium & glass or construction industry in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of aluminium systems, glass specifications, and fabrication accessories.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and procurement tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • UAE Driving License is an advantage.
