HSBC Asset Management is the investment management business of the HSBC Group. We invest on behalf of retail and private banking clients, financial intermediaries, corporate and institutional investors globally. Our investment offering covers all asset classes across equities, fixed income, liquidity, multi-asset, and alternative investment asset classes. We manage these across active and passive management, smart beta and factor-based investing. Assets under Management in excess of USD $800 billion on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

  • A Dubai-based role reporting to the Head of Marketing, Middle East to drive marketing strategies for the region and help achieve business growth objectives
  • Undertake planning, development and management of all marketing strategies aimed at acquiring business from new and existing clients in Middle East region
  • Plan and execute campaigns utilising traditional media, social and digital media, website, events, partnerships, collaterals, etc. to raise the profile of HSBC AM amongst wholesale and institutional clients
  • Plan and organise proprietary client events to engage target audiences and fulfil pre-determined marketing and sales KPIs. Identify high-impact industry event sponsorships where our capabilities can be showcased effectively to relevant target audiences
  • Create sales enablement content and localise marketing materials from other points-of-manufacture to support product launches, campaigns, events and other client initiatives
  • Manage, track and report the costs, efficiencies and ROI of marketing activities
  • Track and analyse competitors’ activities as well as industry trends with the aim of enriching HSBC AM’s marketing proposition
  • Work closely with the sales / business development team to understand and fulfil client needs
  • Establish collaborative relationships with various internal stakeholders including - Investments, Compliance, Product Marketing, Marketing Delivery, Product Development etc. to ensure marketing activities are delivered in a smooth and timely manner
  • Build relationships with HSBC Group businesses including Wealth & Premier Banking, Private Banking and Commercial & Institutional Banking, to facilitate collaborative marketing efforts and aid the business in achieving its objectives
  • Partner with the Communications Team to identify and leverage external and internal publicity opportunities
  • Manage external vendors such as creative agencies, media planners, production houses and event organisers
  • Ensure Global Standards, core process and procedures are followed and monitored, and global and local compliance and audit requirements are fully met
  • Project manage to ensure marketing activities are delivered in an accurate and timely fashion
Qualifications
  • Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
  • At least 8 years’ asset management marketing experience, covering the Middle East region
  • Credible experience delivering campaigns and projects across the marketing mix (ATL, BTL, digital, events, etc.)
  • Experience in UAE with strong understanding of the local regulations, client profiles and competitive landscape. Please note that occasional travel to other GCC countries to organise client events may be required
  • In-depth knowledge of investment terminology and understanding of portfolio management concepts. Ability to break down complex investment ideas into client-friendly marketing messages
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral English
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work in a matrixed environment and with teams from different backgrounds
  • Strong project management skills - deadline and detailed-oriented
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
