We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team within the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a solid understanding of the oil & gas industry's cost structures, project accounting, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and report on monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts for operational and capital expenditure.
  • Perform cost analysis and cost control for upstream/downstream projects, including drilling, exploration, production, and refining.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure financial data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management for business planning and decision-making.
  • Support joint venture accounting and cost recovery processes.
  • Assist with financial modeling for new projects, investments, and acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and statutory reporting standards.
  • Prepare reports for internal stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Coordinate external and internal audits and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil & gas or energy industry.
