The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Department/College: College of Engineering and Information Technology

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Responsible for supervising the Electronic Engineering Laboratory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform periodical service for all equipment in electronic engineering labs.
• Supervise and help engineering students in their projects.
• Supply students with components required for their projects.
• Prepare the equipment required for each experiment.
• Maintain and repair different electrical equipment in the electronic engineering labs.
• Maintain and fix computers in the project labs.
• Keep and update electronics components and equipment.
• Participate in external exhibitions.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities as specified above.

Reports to: Head of Department

Subordinates: N/A

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Knowledge of personal computer and other standard office equipment.
• Thorough working knowledge of educational electronic equipment computer hardware and software.
• Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

• Familiarity with adult instructional methods.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory work environment.
