Job summary

A leading service provider is seeking a Junior Occupational Hygienist in Abu Dhabi. The role involves conducting site visits for health assessments, ensuring compliance with occupational standards. Qualifications

• Completion of at least 12 BOHS or OHTA modules is mandatory if not holding a Masters.
• BOHS / OHTA modules preferred for all who do not hold other key qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits for exposure monitoring and assessments.
• Support senior hygienists in risk assessments.
• Perform monitoring for noise, chemicals, and dust.
• Assist in interpreting results and preparing reports.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health standards.

Skills

Job Title: Junior Occupational Hygienist / Industrial Hygienist

Location: Abu Dhabi UAE
Experience Required: 12 years

Key Qualifications

• Masters in Industrial Hygiene OR
• Bachelors in Engineering (Chemical preferred) / Bachelors in Fire Safety / Diploma in Industrial Safety / PDIS
• If applying with these qualifications completion of at least 12 BOHS or OHTA modules is mandatory.

Certifications

• BOHS / OHTA modules preferred for all mandatory if not holding a Masters in Industrial Hygiene.

Skills & Competencies

• Familiarity with IH monitoring equipment (noise dosimeters, sound level meters, pumps, detectors, etc.).
• Knowledge of exposure monitoring, occupational health risk assessments and control measures.
• Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
• Previous consultancy experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits (minimum 10 days per month) for exposure monitoring and assessments.
• Support senior hygienists in qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
• Perform monitoring for noise, chemicals, dust and physical agents.
• Assist in interpreting results and preparing professional reports.
• Ensure compliance with local and international occupational health standards.
• Participate in client discussions and on-site surveys.
