The Role: Internal Audit / GRC Senior Consultant

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of clients' internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Identify key areas of risk and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard clients' assets and reputation.
  • Assess regulatory requirements applicable to clients' industries and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide advisory services to clients on governance, risk management, and compliance best practices tailored to their needs and objectives.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports and presentations for key stakeholders, highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, professionalism, and delivery of high-quality service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CA or CIA) are required; certifications such as CISA, CFE, CRMA are desirable.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, ICOFR, SOP, or compliance roles, preferably in a consulting firm.
  • Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with audit management software (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Teammate) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Arabic speaking is a plus.
