Office Location : Abu Dhabi

The role :

The Consultant provides compliant immigration advice, knowledge, or strategy to UAE clients and coordinates end-to-end immigration processes as well as destination services for the firm’s corporate client base. The Consultant functionally monitors internal staff, teams, and workload requirements to meet expectations, deadlines, and financial targets.

This role includes high volume, multi-tasking, multi-priority management of client case processing. Activities include confidential and/or sensitive advisement on immigration strategic analysis and options. Prepare a customized destination services itinerary and assist clients with the complexities of relocating to UAE, ensuring a smooth transition and helping them settle into their new environment.

  • Retrieving your WIP report from Wipper
  • Prioritizing the day’s work by taking relevant actions on urgent cases
  • Updating Fragomen Connect with the current status of applications for all active cases
  • Providing proactive updates on application status to all clients
  • Regular follow-ups with clients for pending information/documentation and escalating the matter to relevant stakeholders for unresponsiveness
  • Ensuring the case cycle is closed and all completed cases are submitted for billing by following individual client billing protocols

What we are looking for :

  • Execute volume UAE inbound casework including compliance and eligibility assessments, guidance on requirements, and supporting assignees through immigration processes across multiple jurisdictions and emirates defined by the clients’ entities and/or worksite locations.
  • Provide personalized immigration and destination services tailored to each client, from initial consultation to final settling-in, helping clients feel at home in their new environment.
  • Proactively perform work activities for client accounts as a professional business advisor; provide guidance and care to employees in the UAE.
  • Communicate progress of immigration processes with relevant contacts, including document collection, application filing, and finalization dates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to templates and standards.
  • Identify key issues impacting immigration formalities, such as travel, dependents, and health issues, to keep clients updated on application status and potential issues.
  • Update the firm’s case management system and maintain client files as per protocols and SLAs.
  • Meet monthly billing targets by planning and organizing workload effectively.
  • Respond to pre-instruction inquiries and liaise with co-counsel as needed for compliance assessments.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing and obtaining information in a timely manner.
  • Research and draft country processes and procedures, updating clients on legislative or procedural changes.
  • Assist in compiling metrics and reports as per contractual agreements, reviewing expiry date reports, and taking necessary actions.
  • Contribute to the firm’s Knowledge Management System (KMS) content and accuracy.
  • Draft legal advice and compliance assessments as needed.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, or similar software.
  • Operational awareness, excellent organization, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • High focus on quality, discretion, and proactive self-management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in relocation, destination services, and immigration services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse cultures.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • In-depth understanding of local markets, housing regulations, and local laws.
