Job Summary (in List Format)
  • Design develop build install inspect and maintain propulsion systems engines pumps and technical equipment for boats and maritime vessels.
  • Install and maintain various firefighting systems (automatic sprinkler hose reel/rack fire pumps clean agent wet chemical and related systems).
  • Perform annual and five‑yearly inspections and service of Life Saving Appliances (Lifeboat/Rescue Boat/Fast Rescue Craft).
  • Conduct dynamic and static load testing of lifeboat and rescue boat launching appliances.
  • Plan prepare schedule track and monitor project progress reporting to management.
  • Inspect service certify repair and maintain Life Rafts (including periodic inspection and freefall/overboard types).
  • Understand Class/Flag certification requirements and processes.
  • Periodically inspect service and certify firefighting appliances (portable extinguishers fixed systems like Novec FM200 CO2 water mist foam dry powder breathing apparatus EEBD medical oxygen systems life jackets immersion suits).
  • Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing and refilling of cylinders according to standards.
  • Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain project documentation and files as per IACS and non-IACS class requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for system installation and operational issues.
  • Follow work instructions drawings wiring diagrams and customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department or management.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
