Job summary
A construction company in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Mechanic Foreman responsible for overseeing heavy equipment maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with hydraulic systems and diesel engines. Key responsibilities include executing preventive maintenance, providing technical support, and supervising subordinates. Good command of the English language is essential. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to prepare reports effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience with construction equipment dealership.
- Hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Good command of English language.
Responsibilities
- Ensure preventive maintenance plan is executed as per policy.
- Provide technical support to subordinates.
- Conduct site visits to ensure proper equipment servicing.
- Communicate ideas effectively orally and in writing.
- Prepare reports and make equipment estimates.
- Plan and supervise work of subordinates.
- Maintain effective working relationships with departments.
Skills
Hiring Mechanic Foreman with Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance and repair.
Awareness of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engine and drive train.
- Ensure the preventive maintenance plan is carried out as per company policy and OEM recommendations.
- Provide technical support to subordinates.
- Conduct site visits regularly to ensure equipment is being utilized and serviced as per OEM specifications.
- Ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to prepare reports and to make cost, material and equipment estimates.
- Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of subordinates.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other supporting departments.
- Possesses experience with construction equipment dealership.
- Hands‑on experience as heavy equipment mechanic.
- Good Command of English language.
