Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing implementing and overseeing comprehensive health safety and environmental programs across our organization.

  • Develop and implement HSE policies procedures and management systems to ensure compliance with local and international standards
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations root cause analyses and develop preventive measures to minimize future occurrences
  • Manage and analyze HSE performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with project managers and department heads to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of operations
  • Oversee emergency response planning and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness
  • Stay up-to-date with UAE labor laws HSE regulations and industry best practices
  • Represent the company in HSE-related matters with regulatory bodies and stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field
  • Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) CMIOSH (Chartered Member of IOSH) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE management
  • Delivered a project in Marine Island dredging reclamation construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety management systems risk assessment techniques and environmental management principles
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Proficiency in incident investigation root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and mentoring
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
  • Knowledge of UAE labor laws and HSE regulations
  • Familiarity with local culture and business practices in the United Arab Emirates
  • Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi and adapt to the local work environment
