Job summary

A leading environmental solutions provider based in Dubai is seeking a qualified Environmental Compliance Manager. The role involves ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, managing EHS inspections, and continuous improvement of safety management systems. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental safety or related fields, with at least five years of relevant experience, preferably in QHSE roles in the Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Environmental safety, Engineering, Health or related field.
• Master's degree desirable.
• Min 5 years of experience in QHSE industries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS Surveillance and inspections.
• Update compliance on statutory requirements.
• Report accidents and incidents in Global EHS Portal.
• Assist in upgrading the Safety management system.
• Manage statutory compliance pertaining to Environment.

Job description

Areas of Responsibility

• Ensure & enable compliance of EHS Surveillance observations, EHS inspections, EHS committee decisions.
• To ensure compliance to the observations of EHS inspections rounds.
• Update compliance on statutory requirements and related documents.
• Ensure timely reporting of Accident / incident in Global EHS Portal / and carry out incident investigation, analysis, etc.
• To ensure IMS audit compliance & documentation.
• To assist the Location Head in upgrading Safety management system at site.
• Overall Environment Management and to work for Statutory Compliance pertaining to Environment, on a continual basis.
• To assist the Location Head in Integrated Environment Management System in place and to implement the Corporate EHS Policy.
• Work for statutory compliance, pertaining to Environment.
• Co-ordinate with the Consultant & Statutory bodies for implementation

Job Requirements

Education and Experience :

• Bachelors degree in Environmental safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Masters degree desirable.
• Certifications : Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OR Lead auditor in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Min 5 years of related experience in Department : QHSE industries in Oil & Gas / Mining / Pharmaceutical, preferably in Middle East / Europe / Asia Pacific region.
