Overview

We are hiring a Head of Retail Medical Sales Operations to own and run a large, high-volume team of medical insurance sales advisors. This role is about execution, performance, and delivery. It is not a business development, partnerships, or relationship-sales role.

This position suits a senior sales leader who has run advisor-led or call-centre-style sales teams, carried revenue responsibility, and enforced strong performance discipline in regulated environments.

What you will own

You will have full accountability for:

  • Retail medical sales revenue and productivity
  • Conversion rates, lead utilisation, and advisor performance
  • Sales governance, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Scaling and optimising a high-volume sales operation
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large teams of retail medical insurance advisors across inbound and outbound channels
  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and targets
  • Run structured sales routines, dashboards, and performance reviews
  • Drive consistent execution across sales scripts, follow-ups, and quality benchmarks
Advisor & Management Leadership
  • Manage sales managers and team leaders responsible for frontline delivery
  • Hire, develop, and performance-manage advisors at scale
  • Build strong middle management capable of independently running sales floors
  • Address underperformance decisively through structured performance management
  • Own retail medical revenue delivery and productivity metrics
  • Use CRM, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to optimise conversion and efficiency
  • Partner with Marketing to improve lead quality and campaign performance
  • Work with Technology teams to enhance sales automation and reporting
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to DHA regulations and internal sales controls
  • Maintain audit readiness and ethical selling standards
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, HR, and Compliance to ensure smooth end-to-end execution
External Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain working relationships with insurers and healthcare partners
  • Support pricing competitiveness, coverage optimisation, and product enhancements
Required Experience
  • 10–15 years of sales leadership experience in high-volume environments
  • Mandatory experience managing advisor-led or call-centre-style sales teams
  • Direct, recent UAE retail medical insurance experience is mandatory
  • Proven track record of running large, target-driven sales organisations
  • Experience managing managers, not just individual contributors
  • Strong operational, data-driven, and execution-focused mindset

  • Not a partnerships or broker relationship role
  • Not a field or key account sales role

Candidates with backgrounds primarily in BD or relationship-led sales without managing large advisor teams will not be suitable.
