Overview
The Head of E-commerce will lead the digital transformation of our online sales channels, focusing on building and scaling B2C eCommerce while integrating B2B functions for HORECA, retail, wholesale, and catering clients. Managing a portfolio of over 4,000 Italian food SKUs, you'll drive the end-to-end digital commerce journey—platform, marketing, operations, and customer experience—while working cross-functionally to ensure a high-performing, tech-enabled eCommerce ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive eCommerce growth strategy with primary focus on scaling B2C revenues
- Drive innovation across digital touchpoints to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
- Work with Procurement on sourcing innovative and unique products for B2C channel growth
Platform & Technology
- Lead selection, customization, and management of eCommerce platform (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce)
- Integrate ERP, WMS, CRM, and POS systems for seamless data flow and inventory management
- Implement product information management (PIM) tools across 4,000+ SKUs
- Leverage analytics and dashboarding tools to support decision-making
Digital Marketing & Growth
- Execute customer acquisition strategies through SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing, and influencer campaigns
- Lead performance marketing and drive ROI across channels (Google, Meta, TikTok)
- Optimize UX / UI to improve conversion rates and enhance user experience
Commercial & Operations
- Align online pricing, promotions, assortment, and margin targets with Commercial team
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain for inventory sync, logistics coordination, and SLA adherence
- Develop partnerships with marketplaces (Amazon, Noon, Deliveroo)
- Build and lead multidisciplinary eCommerce team and own P&L performance

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in E-commerce leadership, ideally in food distribution, FMCG, or high-SKU environments.
- Experience scaling B2C and B2B eCommerce platforms across the UAE / GCC — must have Middle East experience and FMCG / Food Service industry experience in a leadership role in eCommerce for 7-10 years at least.
- Strong technical understanding of eCommerce platforms and supporting tech stack (ERP, PIM, CRM, WMS)
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
- Experience working with 3PL logistics, warehousing platforms, and last-mile delivery systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Digital Commerce, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Diploma / Certification in eCommerce highly advantageous
