General Manager – Nightlife & MM Operations (W / M)

The General Manager is responsible for the Nightlife & MM Operations of MILA 2nd Floor. This role oversees Members Club & Lounge and reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering supplies, and developing the restaurant team.
- Manage and train multiple Assistant General Managers and Captains.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies.
- Manage Profit & Loss by following cash control / security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
- Recruit, interview, and hire front-of-house team; conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, motivate, and train.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds according to a Preventive Maintenance plan based on company standards.
- Maintain food quality and achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
- Implement and execute corporate and marketing programs effectively.
- Create a safe environment for staff and guests, promoting safe work behaviors.
- Maintain quality and consistency in food, beverage, and service, adhering to standards with professionalism and urgency.
- Provide a warm, attentive, friendly, and courteous service environment.
- Engage with guests and members proactively to build loyalty and recognition.
- Resolve guest complaints professionally and promptly.
- Understand the local market and surrounding areas.
- Evaluate service quality through audits and feedback.
- Ensure safety, security, sanitation, and cleanliness of the facility.
- Manage team accountability and vendor relationships to ensure quality and consistency.
- Inspire a culture of excellence and demonstrate strong leadership.
- Make sound decisions in urgent situations to protect the restaurant and company.
- Assist with quarterly staff evaluations.
- Manage cash, credit, and receipts following company procedures.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and other departments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a GM in a fine dining / luxury, high-volume, cocktail bar / lounge setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel & restaurant administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Attention to detail, effective communication, and written skills.
- State-approved food handling certificate.
- Experience working with HR on coaching and development.
- Ability to multi-task and be a team player.
- Self-motivated and performance-driven.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Repetitive motion from office tasks (typing).
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for most of the shift in a loud environment.
