Job summary

A leading design consultancy in Dubai is seeking a seasoned professional to manage FF&E design deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs. The role requires overseeing project documentation, maintaining client communication, and leading a team of designers. Candidates must have at least 15 years of experience in the interior design industry, including 10 years in the GCC. This full-time position does not offer remote work opportunities.

Job description
Manage FF&E Design Deliverables
  • Oversee the process of delivering all design‑related documentation for FF&E projects ensuring timely and high‑quality outputs at each stage of the project.
Client Liaison & Communication
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to clearly articulate project deliverables and expectations ensuring alignment throughout the design process.
Ensure FF&E Submissions Align with Client Requirements
  • Review all FF&E submissions to ensure they align with client feedback, project specifications and overall design intent.
Quality Control of Design & Material Selections
  • Review FF&E material selections and mood boards provided by the design team ensuring quality cohesion and consistency across all elements.
Supervise Design Quality at All Stages
  • Oversee the quality of design work from the conceptual stage through to delivery, providing onsite supervision as needed to ensure design integrity and adherence to specifications.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends
  • Continuously keep abreast of new developments in the design industry, incorporating innovative solutions and materials into projects.
Develop and Improve FF&E Specifications
  • Lead the development and enhancement of FF&E specification books and other relevant specification documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Assist in Fee Proposals
  • Collaborate with design directors to prepare fee proposals by estimating project timelines, team resourcing and stage milestones.
Supplier and Consultant Coordination
  • Liaise with suppliers and consultants to review and approve shop drawings, ensuring compliance with design intent and project requirements.
Site Inspections and Problem‑Solving
  • Conduct site visits at key project milestones to inspect progress, address issues and solve problems as they arise.
Project Reporting & Issue Management
  • Provide proactive updates to the Project Leader on project status, highlighting potential client or project issues and proposing solutions as necessary.
Collaboration with Design Team
  • Work seamlessly with Interior Designers and the wider project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet project goals.
Spatial Planning & Schematic Design
  • Prepare spatial planning and schematic design layouts in AutoCAD, including furniture layout plans and decorative lighting plans.
Procurement Knowledge &
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the procurement process, including logistics, storage, delivery and installation. Manage procurement tasks independently without requiring assistance from a procurement manager.
Budget Management & Adherence
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the client’s budget, ensuring designs are delivered within outlined financial parameters while optimizing cost‑efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 15 Years in the Interior Design Industry and minimum 10 Years GCC Experience. Extensive experience across multiple projects and disciplines with a proven track record of success in both residential and commercial sectors.
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Interior Design or Architecture with a strong foundation in design principles and architectural knowledge.
  • Skilled in managing and delivering documentation for RIBA Stage 4 and beyond with a hands‑on approach in guiding projects from initial concept through to construction and completion.
  • Proven ability to integrate and lead a team of FF&E (Furniture Fixtures and Equipment) designers, managing resources efficiently and ensuring cohesive project.
  • Demonstrates a high level of responsibility, ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, ensuring seamless collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors at all stages of the project.
  • Indepth knowledge of technical design and construction processes with the ability to transform design concepts into detailed work packages. Expertise in design detailing appropriate for FF&E items, ensuring buildability and cost‑efficiency at every stage.
