Job summary

A technology solutions provider based in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a candidate to prepare manufacturing drawings and conduct design reviews. This role requires strong communication skills for tracking BOM changes and addressing drawing discrepancies. The ideal candidate will adhere to safety guidelines and ensure quality in design outputs, while maintaining effective communication with the Design Manager. This position emphasizes zero error in designs and systematic project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manufacturing drawings based on project requirements.
• Conduct design reviews as per the Design Control Plan.
• Communicate BOM changes effectively to the project team.
• Update drawing locations and maintain zero error in design.

Job description

• Receive instruction from Design Manager and prepare manufacturing drawings for customized non-standard products based on project requirement in accordance with Tender, Specification, Drawing delivery dates etc.
• Conduct Design Reviews on each step based on the Design Control Plan received from Project team.
• Keep a track and communicate BOM changes to Design Manager and relevant project team.
• Communicate effectively with the Design Manager with regards to some drawing and specification discrepancies to deliver quality drawings.
• Complete each Project design on or before estimated date.
• Adhere to H&S guidelines and policy of the company while in the factory and at the site.
• Print what is necessary and reduce the usage of paper.
• Forward the drawing to Design Manager to get drawing approval.
• Follow up with Design Manager for pending inputs and make no assumptions.
• Prepare site measurement based on input received from Design Manager.

At project close out

• Maintain zero error in design.
• Update drawing locations of working and output files properly to Design Manager.
• Adhere to Vertiv’s HSE Policy
