Job description

talabat is looking for a high-impact Director of Growth Operations to lead one of the most strategic levers for marketplace growth: partner-led discounting and menu pricing.

Reporting to the VP of Partner Growth, this role will own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution of affordability on the platform. You will drive the development of our pricing and discounting framework, lead product and commercial initiatives, and ensure scalable, measurable outcomes through strong go-to-market strategies.

This is a strategic leadership role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, growth, pricing, product thinking, and commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define talabat's affordability growth strategy for partner discounts and pricing optimization.
  2. Lead business case development, prioritization frameworks, and success metrics for all initiatives.
  3. Partner closely with product, tech, and analytics teams to shape the pricing and discounting product roadmap.
  4. Translate strategic goals into product requirements, pilots, experiments, and platform rollouts.
  5. Own the commercial playbook for affordability campaigns including segmentation, targeting, and ROI optimization.

Go-To-Market Execution

  1. Build scalable execution plans in partnership with regional and local commercial teams.
  2. Design sales enablement toolkits, discount ops processes, and adoption plans for key affordability levers.
  3. Lead rollout of key initiatives, ensuring alignment across product, sales, and marketing.

Analytics & Performance Management

  1. Develop deep insights into customer behavior, partner willingness to fund discounts, and pricing sensitivity.
  2. Build pricing and discounting models to evaluate elasticity, profitability, and ROI.
  3. Set up performance monitoring systems to track initiative impact and optimize over time.

Stakeholder Management

  1. Manage a team of 6 highly motivated project specialists across multiple topics of affordability.
  2. Act as the cross-functional lead across Product, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, and Commercial teams.
  3. Present strategic direction and initiative updates to C-level leadership and business unit heads.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Experience

  1. 12-15 years in high-growth businesses, with a focus on growth, pricing, or commercial strategy in eCommerce or food tech companies.
  2. Background in management consulting, internal consulting, pricing strategy, or growth in a marketplace/digital platform is highly preferred.
  3. Proven track record of owning multi-functional growth programs across product and commercial teams.
  4. Experience in leading high-performing teams; motivating and coaching them towards achieving goals.

Skills & Capabilities

  1. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical horsepower.
  2. Deep understanding of pricing mechanics, discounting dynamics, and partner incentives.
  3. Experience working with product managers and familiarity with agile product development processes.
  4. Strong operator; able to move from strategy to execution with hands-on involvement.
  5. Excellent communicator and influencer; comfortable with senior stakeholder management.
