Overview
Packaging Designer. Job Summary: We're looking for a Packaging Developer to join our team. The Plan Designer have to have a strong profile with a selection of examples that demonstrates their creative thinking, interest to information and knowledge of market and also consumer trends. Familiarity with different packaging products is handy.
Responsibilities
- Work carefully with the supervisor to establish and define constant brand messaging and aesthetic appeals on all package layout.
- Team up with cross-functional teams including product design, brand, retail operations, advertising, and innovation to understand their requirements.
- Plan and create distinctive styles that are on brand, on budget and adapt package/display requirements.
- Assess consumer and market trends for packaging products and carry out seasonal conceptual reviews as required.
- Develop and guarantee the quality, accuracy and delivery of correctly prepared, full artwork that adheres to brand requirements and specifications.
- In charge of conceiving and managing projects to completion including new product launches and packaging maintenance tasks.
- Work with the design and management team to establish new retail product packaging.
- Lead the packaging design process including conceptualization, layout and developing models.
- Collaborate with supervisor to prioritize projects, manage workload, and develop efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Expertise of the printing industry as it relates to Packaging Prepress.
- Fantastic organizational, interpersonal skills and detail-oriented.
- Capability to function under stress without compromising performance or accuracy in a deadline-oriented setting.
- Capacity to satisfy tight target dates and work well under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to operate in a highly collaborative team setting.
- Should be able to multi-task within a fast-paced working setting.
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design with an emphasis on packaging design.
- Bachelor's degree in visual design or comparable work experience.
- Have a strong sense of design and user experience in a retail setting.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and InDesign).
