Commercial & Money Movement Solutions (CMS) represents a key strategic growth area for Visa as it expands beyond core consumer card payments (C2B) and into broader money movement flows among individuals, businesses, and governments. The investments that Visa has made over decades in C2B have provided Visa with the infrastructure, technical capability, brand expertise, and relationships to tap into money movement between a much broader coupling of counterparties (B2B, B2C, P2P, G2C, G2B, etc.).

The CMS Consulting Director will provide advisory for the Corporate segment and run projects for Visa's key clients across the CEMEA. The main objective of the role is to help deepen relationships and optimize performance, focusing on the Corporate segment, helping clients design and assess their strategy, implement initiatives around their payments and channels, and capture the full potential from Corporate customers. The Director will also support the development of the CMS practice in terms of product development and thought leadership, cooperating with other Visa CEMEA functions and with other Visa global regions.

Principal Responsibilities and Key Results Area:

  • Using Visa and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with Visa's key clients.
  • In coordination with Country Managers and Account Executives, develop plans for consulting activity in the sphere of CMS.
  • Develop project pitches and secure new consulting assignments with clients as well as reengagement opportunities via a consultative sales approach in assigned markets.
  • Lead and deliver consulting projects primarily in the area of Corporate but also in other VCA practices as needed. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate, and implement consulting services and meet clients' business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants, and other vendors supervision and project delivery).
  • If required, work on client site to design and project manage the implementation of consulting recommendations, marketing campaigns, product value propositions, product migrations, etc.
  • Work closely with other Visa groups including Products, Digital Partnerships and Ventures, Innovation Centers, Marketing, etc., to ensure a seamless consulting experience.
  • Support Visa business development and CMS teams in developing client partnership pitches and proposals.
  • Lead knowledge sharing initiatives with consulting teams in other regions to incorporate best practices, source analytical or other solutions to bring a global perspective to local clients.
  • Support in the development of the CMS practice. A non-exhaustive list of activities will include:
    • Development and codification of new products and set plays.
    • Liaison with the VCA Data Solutions team for the development of CMS-related solutions.
    • Development of thought leadership including writing papers.
    • Support to the standardization of CMS products at a global level.
    • Contribute to the development of the CMS practice plan at CEMEA level.
  • Where appropriate, become the CEMEA point of reference for specific products developed and/or improved.
  • Where appropriate, work with designated practice areas globally to incorporate best practices, source analytical or other services, and leverage global consulting solutions.
  • Where appropriate, deliver and manage a network of external consultants for projects that require external support and:
    • Maintain excellent liaison and supervision of external consultants' deliveries.
    • Assist in selecting, recruiting, inducting, and training external consulting firms or other vendors.
  • Work with other teams and external consultants to develop new and improved tools and techniques for future consulting activities.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
At least 10 years of overall work experience including solid consulting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Consulting experience gained within either a strategy house, a Big 4 firm, or an in-house strategy function of a financial institution is a plus.
At least 5 years of solid experience in the sphere of Commercial or transactional banking (including corporate payments, cash management, trade finance); experience should be gained within a top-tier bank or the financial services practice of a top-tier consulting firm.
At least 4 years of experience in management consulting and deep consulting skills and client engagement capabilities. Advanced client contact and presentation skills. Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and Visa.
Combination of regional and global experience is also desired.
Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
Superior project management skills. Fluent communicator.
Relationship management skills; able to manage internal and external stakeholders at senior levels.
Results driven, flexible, and both internally and externally customer-focused.
Able to travel frequently and work on client site.
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary groups.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in Arabic or Russian is a plus.
