Job summary

A leading construction firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and manage all contractual aspects of large-scale construction projects. Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with proven expertise in UAE laws and managing significant projects in the GCC. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with familiarity with FIDIC contracts. Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all contractual aspects of largescale construction projects.
  • Prepare review and negotiate contracts subcontracts and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws policies and statutory requirements.
  • Advise project and management teams on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Administer claims variations and change orders in coordination with project teams.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to resolve disputes.
  • Manage contract performance ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Oversee contract closeout extension and renewal processes.
  • Maintain records of correspondence and documentation related to contract management.
  • Conduct training for project teams on contract terms and compliance where needed.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Law or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as MRICS CICES or CIArb are a plus.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Contracts Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in the UAEis mandatory.
  • Indepth knowledge of UAE laws construction policies and legal procedures.
  • Proven experience working on largescale projects in the GCC preferably involving infrastructure commercial or mixeduse developments.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 or reputed construction firms in the UAE.
  • Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately.
