Job summary

A legal talent consultancy is seeking a Commercial Senior Legal Counsel in Abu Dhabi to support operations through negotiation and management of commercial agreements. Commercial Senior Legal Counsel

We’re seeking a commercially astute legal counsel to join our client on a fixed-term basis and work closely with internal teams spanning operations, procurement, development, and finance. This position plays a key role in supporting the business on the negotiation, structuring, and management of a wide array of commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing and franchise arrangements, outsourcing deals, and SLAs.
• Support the business on procurement matters, strategic partnerships, and commercial projects.
• Identify and advise on legal risks, contract compliance, and governance matters.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide business-focused legal advice.
• Ensure adherence to relevant legal and regulatory obligations across the UAE and broader GCC region.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer with ideally no less that 5 years’ post-qualification experience from a common law or recognised international jurisdiction.
• Solid commercial legal background, ideally with exposure to a range of industries.
• Strong experience in contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment in the UAE / GCC is a plus.
• Commercially driven, agile, and pragmatic.
• Arabic language skills (spoken and written) are highly beneficial.
