Job summary

A leading construction firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in civil projects within the UAE. Job description

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage quality assurance and quality control procedures for civil works onsite.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure all civil work complies with approved drawings specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
• Maintain records of inspection reports, test results, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and corrective/preventive actions.
• Review method statements, ITPs, material submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure that construction activities meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers, construction teams, and subcontractors for the resolution of quality issues.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit findings.
• Monitor and track the status of snag lists, conduct site walkthroughs, and verify the rectification of deficiencies.
• Ensure proper document control and QA/QC documentation for project handover.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant civil QA/QC experience in the UAE.
• Must have relevant experience in civil construction projects with strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and documentation.
• Must have worked with well-known or reputable construction companies in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority regulations, and QA/QC protocols.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and relevant QA/QC reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE and able to join immediately.
