Job Purpose

Established in 1985 as the airfreight division of Emirates, Emirates SkyCargo is the largest international cargo airline in the world! We are looking for supply chain and logistics professionals ready to support Emirates SkyCargo as our organisation continuously increases its cargo capacity and develops specialised products to meet the growing needs of customers.

This generic job is meant to provide dedicated and specialised support to the three areas in EK Cargo Freighters. Undertake planning, coordination and implementation of all matters relating to Freighter operation in SkyCargo. This includes all aspects of short, medium and long term scheduling (including the seasonal Operating Plans), charter operations, ensuring both operational and commercial integrity is maintained while meeting all safety, quality and customer service standards. Ensure that all activities take place in an effective and efficient manner so as to ensure all services are adequately covered especially at times of schedule disruptions, schedule adjustments, additional operations and new route introductions. Undertake the management of other aspects of Freighter Department including managing Blocked Space with other airlines, invoicing and accounting as well as Freighter related NGSC issues.

In this role, you will;
  • Prepare seasonal freighter schedules on time, meeting all commercial and operational needs.
  • Obtain required permits and approvals from authorities for smooth freighter operations.
  • Ensure schedule information is correctly published for customer access.
  • Support slot coordination activities, especially during additional flights or schedule disruptions, to protect slot history.
  • Monitor all freighter and charter schedules to ensure efficiency and coverage during changes or disruptions.
  • Coordinate monthly freighter schedules with wet lease operators and ensure plans match Emirates requirements.
  • Coordinate schedules with internal operational departments and confirm feasibility.
  • Travel to stations when needed to support special charter operations and ensure standards are met.
  • Manage block space agreements with other carriers, ensuring they are current and used effectively.
  • Monitor utilisation levels and take action where they differ from agreed terms.
  • Handle payment and account processes related to block space agreements.
  • Assist in negotiating cancellations within agreed limits to support commercial goals.
  • Support medium and long-term planning for freighter and charter operations while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Identify and prioritise system requirements for NGSC and support system testing.
  • Gather and validate cost data for freighter and charter operations in NGSC, correcting any issues.
  • Provide profitability information for ad-hoc freighter, charter operations, and diversions for reporting.
  • Independently manage special projects related to freighter operations, new aircraft, and ground handling procedures.
Qualification
