Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales & Business Development Manager to drive upGrad’s growth and market presence in the UAE. This individual will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and cultivating long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, a strong understanding of the regional education and EdTech landscape, and a passion for delivering impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic outreach (cold & warm) via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage inbound leads and prospective clients.
- Track and report weekly revenue performance and enrolment data.
- Travel extensively within Dubai and across other emirates to conduct in-person meetings with potential clients and partners.
- Research and identify prospective clients and partners aligned with target market segments.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement regional strategies to grow the client base and establish new partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners.
- Lead negotiations and develop tailored proposals and presentations to secure business deals.
- Oversee onboarding and handover processes, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams.
- Provide actionable market intelligence and insights to the senior leadership team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within the EdTech or education sector in the UAE.
- Proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets and managing complex client relationships.
- Experience as a partnership manager is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and market research capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, especially HubSpot.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written) is preferred.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United Arab Emirates.
