About the Role:
This role focuses on the core finance functions & operations within Nomac/ACWA Power. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background. ERP system like SAP and power segment experience is an added advantage. The position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, finance operation, and GL control. The role is based in Dubai, UAE and is focusing primarily on local Emirati talent pool.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, project companies, TPO (Transaction processing Outsourcing team) and other departments for a timely period and month-end closing activities
- Perform trial balance (TB) reviews, ensuring all action items are tracked and resolved including, monthly accruals schedule Prepayments, Advance payments and clearing accounts GLs.
- Intercompany transactions reconciliation, Customer reconciliation and Supplier reconciliations on weekly basis.
- Reviewing Income tax and VAT calculation.
- Coordinate with project companies and review of monthly customer invoices
- Review of weekly bank reconciliations.
- Bank payments initiation in the online banking portal.
- Liaison with banks on banking transactions.
- Liaison with external and internal auditors and providing required schedules and supporting documents to conclude audits on timely basis.
- Involvement in annual budget preparation with plant teams, project companies and other dividend.
- Preparation of monthly management reports, fully year forecast and discussion with business leaders and project companies
- Accounts payable management including communication with UAE plants teams for SES and GRN for GRIR clearance and invoice booking coordination with Transaction Process Outsource (TPO) team.
- Coordinate with supply chain team and suppliers on the supplier outstandings.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degrees in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or GL control.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, revenue recognition standards, and audit processes.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic with primarily focus on local Emirati Talent.
