DescriptionRole: Associate Analyst (UAE National)

Role Purpose:
The role holder is required to support ARMs and RMs in day-to-day activities such as preparing account opening documents, credit approval packages, attending meetings, and preparing meeting minutes. The role supports the assigned Corporate Banking team.
Key Accountabilities of the role:
- Support Frontline staff to achieve financial targets within the handled portfolio (e.g., total revenues, revenue from treasury products, revenue from cash management, RORC). The role holder will not have a financial target.
- Work closely with the customer service unit to ensure clients' daily transaction needs are met to their satisfaction.
- Assist RMs and ARMs in reviewing and preparing credit approval packages, AC memos, Credit Round Table discussion materials, etc., ensuring compliance with the bank's requirements.
- Attend client calls/meetings alongside the RM/Division Head regarding banking requirements.
- Support the preparation of spreadsheets, perform financial analysis, including basic financial modeling and qualitative analysis, to evaluate credit applications.
- Conduct initial market checks and monitor the creditworthiness of obligors/counterparties, including searching for negative press articles and consulting rating agencies.
- Coordinate with Risk Management regarding credit approval packages, responding to queries and comments.
- Prepare security and other related documents in collaboration with Legal & Sharia departments.
- Coordinate with CAD during CA package preparation, ensure timely tracking and obtaining of documentation, and update compliance and standard documentation.
- Work with WFO on disbursal and other funding-related matters.
- Assist Frontline staff in tracking review dates and ensuring timely renewal or deferral of facilities.
- Adhere to all KPIs, including turnaround time, credit package quality, and review dates.
- Support the Relationship Management team in customer transactions and queries.
- Coordinate with internal partners to complete transactions and address queries.
- Collaborate with GTB Product Specialist to analyze insights related to GTB offerings and propose actions.
- Identify service requirements in coordination with stakeholders.
- Manage complex Trade & Funding transactions effectively and efficiently.
- Work closely with WBG departments to manage corporate client service activities.
- Support the Shared Services team in enhancing customer satisfaction and relationships.
- Participate in Trade Operations and other operational functions.
Control & Governance:
- Ensure all activities comply with group policies, processes, Sharia requirements, Central Bank regulations, and internal Legal and Compliance regulations.
Technical Skills / Knowledge Required:
Good understanding of business finance, economics, and current affairs.
Analytical thinking and a business-oriented approach.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
