Job summary

A leading hotel company in Dubai is seeking a Safety Officer to monitor and assess hazardous situations, ensuring personnel safety. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a hotel environment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations. Responsibilities include developing safety measures, facilitating OSH compliance, and conducting risk assessments. This is a full-time position with no options for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations.
  • Develop measures to assure personnel safety.
  • Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes and advise on corrective measures.
  • Understand the operation of electrical refrigeration and fire fighting systems.

  • Assist the Head of Safety to organize OHS training of employees and executives.
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes and advise on corrective measures.
  • Understand the operation of electrical refrigeration and Fire Fighting systems.
  • Communicate with different departments and provide them with information and assistance.
