What’s the job?

Working as an Assistant Outlet/Bar Manager, you will ensure all team members are trained and maintaining IHG’s True Hospitality service behavior. You will lead the day-to-day team with the support of the Food & Beverage Manager. You’ll have ambition, talent, and some essential skills. We’re seeking someone passionate about creating great guest experiences for this vital role.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
  • Leading, coaching, and guiding a team of energetic F&B attendants to Make Our Guests Smile;
  • Delivering exceptional guest and dining experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them
  • Support initiatives of the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure departmental goals are met and exceeded;
  • Work closely with the Kitchen team to ensure service is seamless and organized;
  • Rostering, recruitment, onboarding new hires are all part of the day-to-day;
  • Drive employee satisfaction through coaching and creative engagement activities;
  • Purchasing and ordering stock and maintaining stock levels
  • Multitasking to oversee restaurant, bar, room service and conference and events spaces.
What we need from you

To execute the role, the candidate must meet the legal requirements to work in the UAE. Ideally, the candidate must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2-4 years restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local/government authorities.
  • Excellent knowledge of ala carte menus, wine and beverage lists, current and emerging food trends.

The candidate will have the ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding. They must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team; strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective time management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload; High grooming standards – wear your uniform with pride and adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standards; and flexibility to work a 6 day rotating roster – overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job.
