A leading hotel is seeking an Assistant Catering Sales Manager for a prestigious resort. JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Catering Sales Manager is responsible for the property's strategic and proactive catering sales efforts at Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort. The position aims to achieve catering revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction, and to implement the brand's service strategy and initiatives across all sales activities. The role focuses on building long-term customer relationships to meet the hotel's catering sales objectives. Ultimately, the position drives revenue optimization through upselling and accurate forecasting, while providing market feedback for strategic decisions.

This is a Full-Time/Part-Time position based at Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience:
At least 1 year experience in sales and marketing or related professional area. Previous experience as a Sales Executive in a 4/5-star hotel is preferred. Experience in catering sales is essential; familiarity with Marriott sales systems is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong negotiation and creative selling skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and OPERA Sales & Catering systems, excellent communication, research, prospecting, and relationship management abilities. Knowledge of event technology, contract management, and hotel operations is desirable.
Education or Certification
A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field, with 4 years of relevant experience, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in a similar field.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Responsibilities include lead generation, client relationship management, sales presentations and negotiations, market analysis, achieving sales targets, collaborating with marketing, upselling, gathering client feedback, sales reporting, and team collaboration. The role involves proactive outreach, maintaining client relationships, conducting personalized sales presentations, monitoring market trends, and working closely with operational teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
