Position Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Reports to: CFO
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager tolead statutory tax compliance and transfer pricing strategy. This role ensures full compliance with local regulations while optimizing tax efficiency across all business units and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Tax Compliance:

    • Oversee accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment of all federal and state taxes (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, Stamp Duties, etc.) in line with Nigerian tax laws and FIRS/LIRS requirements.

    • Manage tax audits, respond to queries from regulatory bodies, and minimize exposure to penalties.

  • Transfer Pricing (TP):

    • Develop and implement robust TP policies aligned with OECD guidelines and Nigerian TP regulations.

    • Prepare and maintain TP documentation, benchmarking studies, and annual TP returns.

    • Lead TP risk assessments for intercompany transactions, ensuring proper pricing, contracts, and justifications.

  • Advisory & Planning:

    • Advise management on tax-efficient structures for new projects, investments, and cross-border transactions.

    • Monitor changes in tax laws and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risk and capture opportunities.

    • Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to optimize group tax positions.

  • Financial Controls & Reporting:

    • Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax provisions in monthly and year-end financial statements.

    • Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors and consultants.
