SOLIDitech, a leading software engineering company, is seeking a highly motivated Scrum Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving project deliveries across multiple initiatives, supporting our Development Managers and Team Leads to ensure our projects are consistently planned, managed, and delivered with excellence.

What you'll be doing:

As a Scrum Manager, you will be a key part of our project delivery engine. You'll be responsible for:

• Scrum Management & Planning:
  • Facilitate monthly roadmap planning with internal stakeholders, product owners, and development managers to prioritise and track projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define high-level project milestones and estimate delivery dates and effort.
  • Run team sprint planning meetings to communicate and refine project features.
  • Facilitate daily Scrum meetings to help teams prioritise tasks, resolve impediments, and track progress.
  • Identify and monitor project risks, escalating them to the relevant team leads and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular project progress and risk reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage project delivery and quality, ensuring adherence to time, budget, and scope.
• Release Management:
  • Ensure that software teams deliver periodic SOLID application releases for each project.
  • Monitor that weekly releases are thoroughly tested and formally communicated to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all periodic releases are performed in accordance with SOLIDitech's processes and procedures.
  • Escalate and help resolve any problems detected with a weekly release.
• Process Improvement:
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to identify and improve team processes and efficiencies.
  • Drive the implementation of changes to enhance quality and efficiency.

  • Proven experience with the Scrum methodology and Agile practices.
  • The ability to distill and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for agile software delivery and motivating software engineers.
  • Must have a valid Code 08 South African driver’s license.
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • A tertiary degree or qualification is recommended.
  • Project management or Scrum Master certification is highly recommended.
  • Project management experience in the IT/software industry is advantageous.
  • A proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • A technical background would be beneficial.
  • Strong presentation and training skills are a strong advantage.
