Job description

Location : Northern Suburbs of JHB
Reports to : CEO
Type : Full-time, On-site position
AA / EE requirements : None
Salary : Above market related salary

Company and Role Overview : Our client, a renowned luxury brand known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional customer experience, is looking to appoint a dynamic Head of HR to drive the company's people strategy, enhance employee engagement, and lead organisational development initiatives. The Head of HR will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisational culture and ensuring that their talent management strategies align with the company's vision and growth prospects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Min Bachelor's Honours degree in Psychology, Industrial Psychology or Industrial Engineering
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR leadership roles, preferably within a smaller, entrepreneurial company
  3. Proven track record in employee engagement, organizational development, and change management.
  4. Strong understanding of talent management principles and best practices.
  5. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  6. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company's objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify HR needs and contribute to business planning.
  2. Employee Engagement: Design and execute initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction. Utilize data-driven approaches to assess and enhance employee experience.
  3. Organizational Development: Lead change management initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Identify organizational development needs and create tailored solutions.
  4. Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract top-tier candidates. Develop and implement individual growth plans for employees, aligning with business goals.
  5. Learning and Development: Establish a robust learning and development framework to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Promote a culture of learning through workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs.
  6. Performance Management: Enhance performance management systems to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related matters.
  7. HR Operations: Oversee HR operational processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues.
