This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of winding systems across their shaft operations. Essential Qualifications & Requirements
  • BSc/ B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR S Engineering Diploma with completed P1 and P2 modules or an N6 Engineering Diploma
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in commissioning, fault‑finding, and conducting repairs on Winders.
  • At least 3 years of proven managerial/supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of headgears, ropes and attachments, and shaft & loading arrangements
  • Solid understanding of budget control and project management principles.
Key Competencies
  • Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety standards and Risk Assessment
  • Strong technical understanding of HV & LV reticulation, Hydraulics, and Analogue/Digital Variable Speed Drives
  • Proficient in winder safety control philosophies, associated mechanical equipment, and PLC systems
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite; SAP experience advantageous)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and advanced fault‑finding skills
  • Proven conflict management and resolution abilities
