  • Revenue & Sales Targets: Set and consistently hit ambitious sales targets, grow revenue, and deliver Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build strong, trust‑based relationships with banks, large enterprises, and regulatory bodies across the region.
  • Deal Execution: Source, qualify, and close high‑value opportunities, leading RFPs, RFIs, and complex enterprise negotiations.
  • Market Intelligence: Track market trends, monitor competitors, and provide essential feedback to refine playbooks, targeting, and sales pitches.
  • Client Success & Deployment: Support post‑sale success, including planning, compliance readiness, account expansion, and working closely with Product and Engineering to ensure successful platform deployment.
  • External Representation: Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and workshops, traveling across Africa as needed to meet clients and prospects.
  • Experience: 8+ years in business development and enterprise sales, with proven leadership experience.
  • Sales Track Record: Proven track record of driving ARR growth and successfully closing large‑scale, complex deals in the financial technology sector.
  • Market Expertise: Deep understanding of African financial markets and regulatory environments (required).
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience selling blockchain services, digital assets, or related financial technologies is a strong plus.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, able to credibly link technical platform capabilities to clear business value for executive decision‑makers.
  • Communication: Skilled communicator, able to break down complex concepts for both senior executives and technical engineering teams. Fluent in English; French is a strong plus.
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial mindset, high resilience, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and thrives in fast‑paced, resource‑constrained environments.
  • Tools: Proficiency with CRM systems, sales automation platforms, and modern sales tools
  • Title: VP of Business Development, Africa
  • Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (full‑time base salary).
  • Bonus: Performance‑based, year‑end bonus scheme.
  • Equity: 100–200 stock options vested over 4 years.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, pension plan, and coverage for travel expenses.
  • Equipment: MacBook Pro and all necessary work essentials.
  • Location: Nigeria or South Africa (remote‑first with optional office access).
