The Tshemba Foundation is a nonprofit medical volunteer organisation aimed at uplifting healthcare in rural Mpumalanga.

We are seeking a suitably qualified medical doctor with experience in rural health systems and strong organisational and project management skills. Based at Tintswalo Hospital and surrounding clinics and communities, this is a strategic, largely non-clinical role focused on coordination of medical volunteers and management of relationships with DoH, with oversight and delivery of medical programmes across multiple rural sites.

Minimum Requirements
  • Medical degree with full professional registration with the HPCSA
  • Experience working within rural and primary healthcare systems
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage medical staff across multiple sites
  • Strong project management experience in hospital and clinic environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, collaborative, and solutions-oriented
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Bushbuckridge / Hoedspruit area
  • At least two years post comm serve experience in a clinical or management role
  • This is a one-year contract, renewable
  • Fully conversant with up-to-date Department of Health treatment guidelines and SOPs
