A leading financial services company is seeking an Underwriter based in Western Cape or Gauteng. In this role, you will assess the risks of clients, considering various factors such as occupation and medical history. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in medical and/or financial underwriting along with strong analytical and communication skills. You'll also be responsible for managing client communications and ensuring compliance with guidelines in a dynamic work environment.

The role of the underwriter is to assess the risk of our clients based on their individual risk profile (this includes consideration of insurable interest, occupation, medical, financial, part-time activities & travel/territorial risk).
Note: The environment necessitates overtime in peak periods. The amount of overtime hours depends on the business need in terms of the volumes received.
The position is based in either Western Cape or Gauteng.
