Job description
Qualifications
  • A class EC license and PrDP
  • More than 5 years in possession of valid code 14 license
  • Grade 12 with some qualification in Training will be advantageous
  • 5 years’ experience in Driver training and assessment
  • 5 years’ experience with Driver and vehicle safety
  • Experience in data capturing, report writing, accident investigation, employee relations and disciplinary measures
  • Advantageous Certified Facilitator / Certified Assessor
  • Adequate Road Transport Experience
  • Adequate Fuel Transport Experience
  • Computer proficient including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Can draft processes and procedures or update existing ones
  • Attention to detail
  • Be able to work independently
  • Have confidence to stop any unsafe activity
  • Own reliable transport
  • Safety orientated
  • Knowledge and experience in the Fuel and Energy Industry will be beneficial
Duties
  • Develop, implement and maintain Driver training plans
  • Update, report and maintain training matrix and training files
  • Carry out on route and task observations on sites
  • Ensure that Driver meet necessary legal, contract and Company Fuel specific compliance requirements
  • Assess, screen and practical evaluations of new drivers
  • Ongoing training of current drivers
  • Implementation of driver and vehicle safety procedures
  • Coordinate workshops on Driver safety
  • Accident investigations quality assurance
  • High risk drivers – assessments & evaluations
  • Review and evaluation of the effectiveness of training in accordance with TETA, contract and company fuel requirement
