Job Summary
The LCS Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling technical products to prospective customers. They use their technical knowledge to explain product specifications and complex concepts to customers, perform demonstrations of technical products, and analyze customer needs to recommend relevant products. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Act as a brand ambassador for Xylem Lifecycle Service and generate sales in the following areas. The list is not exhaustive and may be amended from time to time.
- Rental
- Repairs and maintenance – workshop / field service
- Maintenance contracts
- Application optimization
- Site surveys and audits
- Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Product Knowledge and Demonstration
- Sales and Negotiation
- Customer Service and Support
- Market Analysis and Reporting
- Present the departments value proposition to the market.
- Conduct market research and development with a view to grow rental revenues
- Market development in Public Utilities, SOE’s and Industrial sectors
- Build long term relationships with key customers
Requirements
- Completed National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
- Technical qualification / trade test, preference will be given to candidates with a technical qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the pump industry.
- Minimum of 5 years technical customer facing sales experience, preferably in a solutions-based Rental and Aftermarket position.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, as well as relevant sales tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and plans
- The position will report to Richards Bay Office.
