The School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST) is an outstanding school, with state-of-the-art facilities, that opened in 2020. We are extremely popular within the local community and are heavily oversubscribed. SST is at an exciting point in its growth and development as September 2026 will be the year the school has a full complement of students and staff as our very first 2020 cohort become Year 13.

In January 2023 SST was inspected by Ofsted and was graded OUTSTANDING in all categories and in our first set of public examinations in 2025 our outcomes for students were amongst the very best non-selective schools in Kent. This is a testament to the fantastic work that has gone into making this school a brilliant place to learn and work.

Responsibilities

We are looking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of English to join our existing team. The role will allow the postholder to work with a range of students of varying needs, all with a passion to learn. As a Teacher of English, the postholder will work in a growing department with an opportunity to develop and shape a new curriculum as well as help create an identify for the department in the school.
