About the Role

A dynamic UK accounting firm is seeking a Tax Accountant to be part of their South Africa - based remote team.

As the Tax Accountant, you’ll navigate UK tax returns, guide clients on tax strategies, mentor junior colleagues, and drive seamless teamwork to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare UK Self Assessment (SA100) tax returns for sole traders, company directors, and individuals with property, dividend, or foreign income.
  • Review and quality-check work completed by junior team members.
  • Support junior accountants with technical queries and best practices.
  • Conduct client meetings, including tax review and personal tax advisory discussions.
  • Explain allowable expenses and strategies to reduce tax liabilities to clients.
  • Identify issues, risks, or missing information in client records.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards.
Requirements
  • Qualified Professional Accountant (SA), AGA(SA), or CGMA
  • 2 - 4 years of post-article experience
