A leading public entity in South Africa is seeking a temporary Supply Chain Officer for a 12-month position in Pretoria. The role involves procuring goods and services, administering tenders, and ensuring compliance with supply chain policies. Supply Chain Officer (12 months Temp)The position requires a qualified and results driven individual to take on the temporary position of the Supply Chain Officer (12 months temp).
The applicant must energetic and dynamic person to assist in providing efficient and effective supply chain services to the internal and external stakeholders of the WRC.
The Supply Chain Officer will form part of the Finance Branch and will report to the Supply Chain Manager.
Applicants must be in possession of Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Finance or related field.
A degree (NQF 7) in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Finance will be an added advantage.
Must have a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Management (procuring of goods & services, tender administration and supplier database administration) in a public-sector environment is essential.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, extensive and in-depth working knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA and related supply chain management policies in relations to all Operating Procurement Procedures is required.
The Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for procuring goods & services, tender administration and supplier database administration.
Provide administrative / secretarial support to relevant Committees.
Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing controls and ensuring compliance and provide secretarial support to relevant committees.
