Job summary

A leading global energy management company is looking for a Sales Account Manager in Durban to develop new sales opportunities and manage major accounts. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a technical diploma and 5–10 years of sales experience in Electrical Distributors/Wholesalers. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as the candidate will need to foster strong relationships with key decision-makers and navigate market conditions for improved profitability.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of relevant sales experience in Electrical Distributors/Wholesalers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new sales opportunities and address the needs of major accounts.
  • Build a robust, profitable project pipeline through channel partners and end-users.
  • Manage monthly orders, sales performance, and weekly backlog for assigned accounts.
  • Create and execute plans to convert customers from competitors.
  • Gather business intelligence on pricing, competition, and product positioning.
  • Act as a consultant and trusted advisor for Schneider Electric’s products.
  • Prepare strategic proposals and manage orders to meet customer expectations.
  • Negotiate pricing and analyze market conditions to improve margins.
  • Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers.
