Job summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee the efficient running of our warehouse operations in an engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate stock control, proper inventory management, and smooth flow of materials to support production and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching of stock.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and system updates.
  • Implement and enforce stock control processes to minimise shrinkage, stock losses, and discrepancies.
  • Ensure correct labelling, binning, and safe storage of engineering materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Oversee and manage goods inwards and outwards, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain stock reports for management on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Work closely with procurement and production teams to forecast and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure warehouse health, safety, and housekeeping standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Supervise and guide warehouse staff, delegating tasks and ensuring performance targets are met.
  • Identify areas for improvement in warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and processes.
Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12) essential; further logistics/warehouse or supply chain qualification advantageous.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of stock control systems and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
