A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to oversee procurement and stock management. This role involves managing stock accuracy, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring compliance with inventory procedures. Candidates must have a Matric certificate and at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and possess strong computer skills. This position offers growth potential into an Assistant Production/Factory Manager role over time.
A well-established manufacturing company based in Rosslyn is seeking a hands‑on Stock Controller to support the Production / Factory Manager and take responsibility for procurement, stock control, and stores supervision.
This is a physically active, factory‑based role. It is not a desk position. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment and spending the majority of the day on the warehouse floor.
Manage and control raw material, consumable, and finished goods stock
Ensure accurate receiving, issuing, and recording of all stock movements
Maintain stock accuracy between physical stock and system records
Conduct cycle counts and assist with full stock takes
Investigate and report stock variances
Raise purchase requisitions and follow up on supplier deliveries
Monitor minimum stock levels and prevent production shortages
Enforce stock control procedures and compliance standards
Supervise and guide stores / warehouse staff
Support the Production / Factory Manager with operational duties
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in the warehouse
Matric (Grade 12)
Minimum 3 years’ stock control experience in a manufacturing / steel / warehouse environment
Experience with procurement processes and supplier follow‑ups
Strong computer literacy (Excel and stock/inventory systems)
Experience supervising or leading a small team (advantageous)
Physically fit and able to work in a factory environment
High level of attention to detail and integrity
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure
