Responsibilities

The Rental Property Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of residential rental properties, ensuring smooth tenancy operations, strong landlord and tenant relationships, and full legal and financial compliance.

This role manages the full rental lifecycle from tenant applications and lease administration through to renewals, terminations, rental collections, and reporting. The Rental Property Administrator acts as the central point of contact between tenants, landlords, finance teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring all processes are handled efficiently, accurately, and timeously.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, confidence in handling tenant and landlord communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a structured, process-driven environment.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in residential rentals, property administration, or property management
  • Solid understanding of lease administration, tenant onboarding, renewals, and terminations
  • Experience handling rental collections, arrears follow-ups, and basic financial administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal professionally with tenants and landlords
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with property management systems, spreadsheets, and digital filing
  • Ability to follow processes, meet compliance requirements, and maintain accurate records
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a broader rentals and finance team
  • Reliable, accountable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Matric (NSC) or equivalent.
  • Payprop, WeConnectU, Red Rabbit or any other rental asset management software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets and Dropbox.
